Christian Chaos

Christian Chaos -
Christians in America are said in the Pew Reports to be the predominant group in religious America today with 78.4% - that is, using 2008 population numbers, more than 238 million Americans. So where is this mighty presence of Christians in the fight for American morality and Christian culture now, in 2009?
To find this answer, you first must determine who the Christians are. In this attempt begins the confusion. There are Catholics, Baptists, Lutheran, Methodist, Assembly of God, Presbyterian, non-denominational and more,

It's only right...

It's only right that since I posted my first blog on Oct. 12, I should write another in November. Here is my choice of subject today:

IT IS ONLY RIGHT

- that a child in a woman's womb, who had no choice to exist but was God's choice for this world, be given a chance to prove his/her worth.

- that a person have a weapon to protect their property, family and ability to provide as we are forewarned that the theif comes only to steal, kill and destroy.

- that we raise our children in a way that reflects our faith, beliefs and culture. As God created us in His image, we shall raise up our children in the way they should go.

The Opposite Root

When I asked my husband today, "what shall I write about?" his response, true to nature, was "being broke." My husband is a pessimist and therefore my polar opposite and perfect match.
Still, I've drawn a blank for weeks and have learned that God speaks through my hubby, so I will tackle the subject with prayerful heart and an admittedly reluctant mind.

The Bible states that the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil:
1 Timothy 6:10 'For the love of money is a root of all [kinds of] evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.'
With that in mind I can't help wonder, what is the opposite root? The love of "being broke"?
Let's give it some thought...
